Youth Exchange Activities in Sacramento

Sacramento was our recent destination with Aline. Chloe just happen to have a golf tournament nearby so we spent the weekend downtown to show Aline the capitol of California. We toured the capitol building and as you can see the Governors office was not in service! Still no budget I guess. Anyway, we are having lots of fun with Aline and after living in California for 45 years I finally got to see the capitol!!! Subject: Mission Update

Hi Wayne and Carolyn,

The mission in East Africa is now over and I'm on holiday in the Netherlands (staying with Rob and Melissa Boogaard who used to go to the Family Church) until the 16th. God has truly blessed our work with three new churches, many new saints and 15 baptized from two villages.

I was so very encouraged to return to the Batwa village of Gihara where I was nearly thrown out just 9 months ago. Now there is a growing church of 30/40 of whom I baptized 10 in a creek. The same hopeless faces that reflected the will of the evil one now reflect the Glory of our Savior.

What a Savior!

There is a tremendous need for the WAPI across all of the villages we work in. No one that we showed it to had ever seen anything like it and all recognized ita value comming to using it if they can get them.

I was not able to contact any Rotary clubs due to time constraints.

I have a photo (attached) of a WAPI demonstration in a Batwa village near Bujumbura, Burundi. I know that I often say that the people I work with are the poorest of the poor...these are worse than any I have seen to date. They feed their children out of the city dump.

I'm looking forward to discussing how we can get the WAPI into the hands of the people in our village churches in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi.

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement.

More later...

Mark

Youth Exchange Activities in Monterey

So in the 3 short weeks Aline has been here she has been to the Concourse Auction downtown, volunteered during the Concourse at Pebble Beach to help the Carmel Youth Center raise money, the Monterey aquarium and of course we had to play some golf. She is an excellent cart driver!
